AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD LT for Mac 2013 and earlier are not compatible with macOS 10.11.x (El Capitan). AutoCAD versions 2014 and later are, although the latest updates for the products need to be applied (see Autodesk Downloads).

- AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD LT for Mac versions 2015 and earlier are currently not compatible with Mac OS® X v10.11.x (El Capitan). Autodesk plans to release service packs for the 2015 and 2014 versions of AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD LT for Mac that will allow those versions to run on Mac OS® X v10.11.x (El Capitan).
