Hosts File Entries To Block Adobe Activation Mac

Have you ever wanted to block adobe activation when you're using an illegal serial key?
Yeah you can do that without any firewall application! :D

I am having trouble during installation. From the online help ( - 7961569. 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com 127.0.0.1 3dns-3.adobe.com. 127.0.0.1 adobe-dns.adobe.com Here is a picture of my host file so that you can see where to put it.

You need to edit the hosts file on your laptop/computer!
To find the hosts file(Windows):
• Open 'My Computer'
• Open Drive C
• Open Windows folder
• Open System32 folder
• Open Drivers folder
• Open Etc folder
• Double-click the hosts file and choose to open using Notepad when you're asked.
At the end of the file add the following list and save:

*If you get 'Access Denied' when trying to save the file,then you should 'RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR'
To find the hosts file(MAC):
1. In Finder, select the Go menu, then select the 'GO to Folder' menu option.
2. Type /etc for the folder name, and click Go
3. Locate the hosts file, and DRAG/COPY it to the desktop.
4. Double click that copied hosts at destkop to edit that
5. Add a new line at the bottom that contains the IP address and the host name.
6. Save the changes.
7. Drag the hosts file at the destkop to the /etc folder
8. Press the button to Authenticate.File
9. Press the button to Replace the file.
10. Enter your password.
Add this at the end of the hosts file(number 5):

Your echo command isn't right (keystroke would be a System Events command if it wasn't in a text string), but you should be seeing the incorrect text in the hosts file. The statement should be more like

Adobe Update Block Host File


sethostToAddto'echo ' & linefeed & quoted formofx & linefeed & ' >>'


... but really all you need to do is use a text editor that is designed for these kinds of things, such as TextWrangler or BBedit. Either of those can navigate to the hidden folders and edit the file directly, including admin authentication.
